Sorry About the Lack of Posts
I've been quite busy and my slow computer isn't helping much, so I haven't had much time to do any real thorough work on my blog. As a result, I'm giving you this George Thorogood song to listen to. Everyone likes George Thorogood!

Weird Wednesdays
Guess what. Today is Weird Wednesday! I'm showing you my favorite parody song writer. His name is Weird Al Yankovic. (Hence the Weird Wednesday) Here you can see my favorite song of his, Fat.
Well, I hope you enjoy your Wednesday today! And remember, we're half way through the week.
Weird Al Yankovic is an accordion playing parody song writer. His music videos have been quite popular in the 80's on MTV, and he is still making new parodies today.
Usually, he has a crazy look on his face. Or a "weird" look if you prefer. |

The Beatles- Inventors of Heavy Metal
It's about time I wrote a post about The Beatles. Almost everyone knows The Beatles. It's because they were great. But does everyone know that it was The Beatles who invented the genre Heavy Metal? See for yourself. The song appeared on the White Album (or The Beatles album).
And yes. He does yell "I've got blisters on my fingers!" at the end of the song.
It's kinda hard to imagine these people playing heavy metal music. |

Going to Kansas.
Kansas is a very awesome band with amazing music. Their songs are still listened to often every day. The band's nice mixture of various instruments and vocal harmonies makes for each great song.
Kansas was a band that originated in Boston. No. I was just kidding. The band originated in Kansas. Topeka, Kansas. Their first album was released in 1974.
This was not their most popular album though. It was their 6th album that was really popular. This album is one of their most famous albums. It is called "Leftoverture". This album featured my favorite song of theirs. Carry On My Wayward Son is my favorite song on the album. It is also one of the Kansas's greatest hits besides Dust In The Wind. Kansas is a great band to see live in concert which is why I got a live concert video of Kansas playing Carry On My Wayward Son. You can see it below.

That's all I have to say for today. So, see you tomorrow!

Ram Jam!!
That guy second from the right has some serious 'stache! |
This music video is really funny! I like how there's one random band member in the background just dancing not even playing anything. That bass guy's pretty scary though.
Feel free to comment on what you like about the video or band. I want to hear your opinion.

Led Zeppelin!!! Again.
Jimmy Page whips his hair back and forth! |
I have more where this came from. |
Today I'm showing a great song by Led Zeppelin. It is called Over The Hills And Far Away. It is a great song, and I like how Jimmy Page used his electric 6-string instead of his usual 12-string for the song. It puts a nice twist to it.
Also, does it ever occur to you that Robert Plant does this position a lot?
He does it in almost every single song!
P.S.- I got a post in! Maybe you won't have to wait until Saturday for a post!

Def Leppard- Featuring One Great Drummer
Def Leppard is a great band that was formed in 1977. Almost all of their songs featured hard rock and awesome sounding guitars with plenty of power chords. My favorite part though is the drummer. With only one arm, Rick Allen overcame all of the troubles and succeeded in being the first one-armed drummer. You can even see for yourself in this video. This video features a live performance of Def Leppard in 1988 and you can see Rick's arm as he plays Pour Some Sugar On Me with the band.
It is just amazing how a one-armed drummer can play so great.
Here's a picture of Rick Allen.
Also be sure to visit their website for more information:
Rick Allen also contributes to the Raven Drum Foundation:
Make sure that you check them out too.

Rock And Roll All Night!!!!
Today I'm going to go into one of my favorite bands of all time, KISS. My favorite song from KISS is Rock And Roll All Night. KISS is probably one of the most entertaining bands live in concert. Especially with the KISS Orchestra. Being a trumpet player, I find a great amount of amusement in watching trumpet players with Gene Simmons face paint playing KISS songs during a KISS concert. I have a video too.
This is the video of KISS playing with the orchestra.

Harmonica Solos= Amazing
Today I'm going to keep this post small. I found this awesome video with a harmonica solo in it. It's the song "Middle of the Road" by the Pretenders. Any song with a harmonica solo in it is okay in my book. Anyway, here it is:
Other songs with harmonicas include: You Don't Know How It Feels by Tom Petty, Love Me Do by The Beatles, Piano Man by Billy Joel, When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin, and a lot more. Feel free to say any other classic rock songs with harmonica solos in them.

3 posts in one day!?!?!
I know I have already posted two other posts today, but I just got this cool picture! (Besides, yesterday I meant to post the ACDC post, but my computer malfunctioned)
And again, Happy Easter!
Coolest Easter Eggs Ever! |
AC DC!!!
Here we have Angus Young eating his awesome guitar.
Angus Young is the guitarist for the popular hard rock band ACDC. He helped start the band in 1973. He is also incorporated with his frequent use of Gibson SGs and doing Chuck Berry's "Duckwalk" onstage at concerts. He was probably one of the more entertaining members on stage while playing at ACDC concerts (to me at least). Below I have an example of how and you will also be able to see how he does the duckwalk.
P.S.- For those of you who are interested in learning how to do the duckwalk, there are videos on Youtube of how to do it.

Bohemian Rhapsody
Sorry for the late post. I had trouble with my computer yesterday. So, today I will show you what I was going to do yesterday.
Bohemian Rhapsody is Queen's most famous song. Is was featured on the 1975 album a Night At The Opera. Freddie Mercury wrote this song. The way this amazing song goes is that Freddie connected the ballad part with the guitar solo and hard rocking part with an operatic part. The opera mixed with the hard rock and the ballad make this song so amazing. It is also what my friends and I call Rockra (mix of opera and rock). The opera and Freddie's voice mixed with the guitar solo is what really makes this song stand out so much. Anyway, I have the music video below.
Make sure that you listen to this song loud like it should be!
