Freddie Mercury: Rock-star and Meme

Freddie Mercury is an amazing man. He was a very talented singer for the band Queen. Queen is my favorite band. (It's a really long list) What I really love about Freddie Mercury though (Besides his beautiful singing) is his fans that have made him into a meme. You can learn more about them at: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/people/freddie-mercury
Also, a really cool place you can visit is http://www.colleencoover.net/?p=3102 to find some other cool Freddie Mercury stuff.(There's not much, but what's there is really awesome.)
I also have another picture. It's right here:
I like Freddie Mercury best with his mustache.
I don't really have much else to say so I'm just going to leave you now with this information in your head.
Have an awesome day!

New Name Time!

I got a temporary new name today. I'm hoping all you guys like it. If you don't, you can always comment and suggest a better name.
I got the new name because are so many other things already with the title Classic Rock. Plus, I love the Rock of Ages song by Def Leppard. If you really think about it, the name really fits the blog. I write about rock from the the 70's and 80's and so on. Anyway, enjoy!

Come Sail Away with Styx

I meant Styx, not Sticks! Sorry, I just had to do that joke.
Personally, I'm not a huge Styx fan, but if I had tickets to go to a concert, I would definitely go. In fact, Styx is probably one of those bands who are better to listen to if you see them in concert. My favorite song by Styx is not Come Sail Away, but Renegade. (Come Sail Away is second on the list) Renegade is a great song by Styx on their 1978 album, Pieces of Eight. I couldn't find any good live videos of this song, but I do have a video of the song for you.

Below, I have Renegade by Styx.

I agree. Pianos make great chairs.

Ted Nugent on Life

He's also into camouflage and Gibson guitars.
Ted Nugent is a famous guitarist and singer. He's known for hard rock, but also has very important views on life. Even though he's known for doing rock songs like Cat Scratch Fever and Stranglehold, he has a well formed opinion about politics and other matters. He's also a big hunter with his hunting dogs. He may not be as popular as Aerosmith is today, but he still performs live in concert today and will probably continue to do that for quite a while.
Above here I have a nice video from a recent Ted Nugent concert. It's just a video that a person from the crowd recorded, but the audio sounds really good like the music. Here, Ted Nugent is performing Cat Scratch Fever.

Also, don't forget to check out his website where you can find out where he's performing next, win an autographed deer skull, buy ammo, and more!

Lord of the Zeppelin

Today, I have Ramble On by Led Zeppelin.

This a truly beautiful song by Led Zeppelin. It's one of their softer songs that appeared on their album Led Zeppelin II. Also, a quick fun fact: this song's lyrics were inspired by J. R. R. Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings.
If you want to see for yourself, go ahead and look up the lyrics and see for yourself.
I must be obsessed with this album.
