KISS Live in Concert! Motley Crue Live in Concert!

Recently I went to a Motley Crue KISS concert. It was awesome! No. More than awesome!

First, there was Motley Crue. They were awesome. The guitars sounded awesome. In fact, one of the guys had a flamethrower guitar which was really really cool. I really want one too. Anyway, the drummer was also super awesome; especially during the solo. The drummer was in a small circle for the whole time and during the solo the drummer started to go upside down in the circle. He was playing upside-down during his drum solo. Awesome.
Well, I could go on and on about how awesome Motley Crue was, but then I won't have room for KISS! You get my point anyway.
Ah yeah! Fireworks!
Then, KISS came on. They were awesome as well. Their songs were awesome too. In the middle of the show, Paul Stanley had, wait for it, a fireworks bazooka! Then he zip-lined to the middle of the crowd and sang a song from there. It was really awesome. The guitar solos were amazing too. They sang some new songs which were also really cool sounding.
There was also Gene Simmons being Gene Simmons.

All in all, it was really amazing. I don't think I can stress that enough.

I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but this is why.

We Will Miss You Donald Dunn

Bass player, Donald "Duck" Dunn, died in Tokyo in his sleep last night. He was 70 years old. This article will say the rest of what I want to say.

Who? I'll Tell You Who.

As the last spotlight for this week I'm going to talk about one of the most influential bass players in history. His name is John Entwistle. He's the Who's bass player. What makes John the standing-out bassist is that he tried to stick out more. He has his own bass solo in the song My Generation. You don't hear many bass solos everyday.
Here I have a crazy video of the Who performing their song My Generation with the bass solo.
Sorry for the late post.

Bassist Spotlight

Today my post is about the bassist for the famous band Queen, John Deacon. He was also the youngest member of the band. He wrote many of Queen's songs including the famous song "Another One Bites The Dust". This song featured the bass as the primary instrument throughout the song.
John never really did much to stand out at all, but without him Queen would be a very different band. I mean songs like "Another One Bites the Dust" and "You're My Best Friend" would never exist.

Spotlight

All this week, I'm going to be focusing on the band members in many famous bands that weren't put in the spotlight. This week I'm not going to talk about guitarists or singers.

I'm going to put more focus on the bass players and the drummers or possibly even the rhythm guitar players and every other instrument player that put in a lot towards a band that wasn't put in the spotlight.

P.S.-
At first this post had a lot of words so I got rid of some, but then I added a lot of pictures. I hope you keep reading this week to see some great videos and learn some cool stuff. Enjoy!
